Cats and Dogs is a Family Film directed by Lawrence Guterman. The screenplay was written by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. The First in the series was released by Warner4 Bros. Pictures on July 4th 2001. The film begins with the Brody family’s pet dog, a bloodhound named Buddy getting kidnapped by a blue van. Butch, a German Shepard Dog, witnesses the kidnapping and presses a panic button which allows him to enter a large “Men in Black” type secret headquarters. Blaming the kidnapping on a pack of sinister cats the rest of the movie is a story about the fight between the cats and dogs. The Movie stars; Jeff Goldblum, Elizabeth Perkins, Alexander Pollock, Tobey Maguire, Alec Baldwin and Charlton Heston.
